Swarleen Kaur is a highly regarded educator and a personality development coach .She established her own e learning platform “The Talk room” during this pandemic. Slowly and steadily her sessions picked up and she got to coach students internationally . The talk room is one of the leading personality development center in Dehradun .

How did this idea of becoming a personality coach hit you?
I always had that urge to do something of my own .I had been working in the education sector for 18 years serving as PTT English . I wanted a change . So, after winning an international speaking championship ,I decided to start working on my ideas . Thinking about the youth and importance of personality development in current scenario ,I got an idea of becoming a personality coach.
How did you got this name and what is talk room all about?
This name struck me when I saw a drawing room and a reading room in a furniture shop. At that very moment I said I’m going to build a talk room where we are going to talk sense. “The Talk room” is a platform where we can converse, communicate and confer. It is all about learning ,sharing experiences , talking your heart out and grooming your personality.
What are your responsibilities as a business owner? Are you willing for a collaboration ?
As a business owner you have to look after unending things. If you want to become an entrepreneur you should know that you have to put in a lots of efforts and time simultaneously . I work for 13 hours a day . I have to manage classes and events. I also have to look after promotions. There is a lot of stuff to deal with but with all this I always try to spare time for my family and a weekend off is must .
Yes, definitely I would love to collaborate if it helps me to grow but I will have to look into it .
What is you greatest fear?
I am an emotional person. so, Loosing on good relations is my biggest fear. Although I m strong but I don’t want to loose people from my life. I think people around are like stars and I have to grow this constellation of stars.
Is money important or emotions?
Emotions for sure . I am not saying money is not important but emotions are more.
How has your early life been ?
My early life has been quite interesting . it has been a roller coaster ride. Happiness and sadness going side by side. I was born in a business family. My father always wanted us to be independent. He has always supported us in our decisions.
What challenges did you face as an entrepreneur?
The most important thing that I realized as an entrepreneur is that everybody is unique in their own way. We should be more confident and should reflect leadership qualities. You need to believe in yourself and your ideas. Desire, dedication and determination have been a part and parcel of my strength as an entrepreneur. It about challenging yourself, that’s how you become entrepreneur.
What is your piece of advice for youth?
My piece of advice for them would be to follow their akigai .if you passion and profession are one you have almost chassed the race. When you start to rise there is more of pulling down, there is more of criticism more of looking down but you need to hold on to it till you succeed.
